Tamekia has been a professional in the Beauty Industry for 16-years. She graduated from Sandhills Community College Cosmetology department at the top of her class. She is a licensed Cosmetologist, with an Associates Degree in Applied Science, Cosmetology, a licensed Cosmetology Instructor, the owner and founder of Elite Professional Hair Care Services (9+yrs), an award-winning Associate Educator for Design Essentials (13yrs) as well a Certified Hair Loss Practitioner; and the owner of Elite4you Academy.

Tamekia believes that knowledge is the key that unlocks doors to success, “knowledge breeds confidence”, she says and confidence cast out fear.

She has trained, taken classes and gained tutelage from some of the best.  Design Essentials, Dudley, Patric Bradley, Joico, Paul Mitchell, Amore`Colore and Trichology Institute just to name a few.    

It was in 2018 that she launched, Elite4you Academy. A platform that provides hands-on training, Look, Listen and Learn Workshops, product knowledge and so much more to licensed professionals and the community. The goal of these platforms is to be a road map to success for licensed professionals and to raise awareness for all things hair care for our community. In the voice of Tamekia, “I don’t consider it robbery sharing what I know, I actually love it!”

Tamekia is a wife to an amazing husband and a mother to two phenomenal girls! She is very driven and determined to fulfill her assignments!
